About Me

Hello! I am Ms. Slowinske, and I’m so excited to be joining Fuentes for a great school year. I have been teaching since 2013, with experience in 4th–8th grade math, science, social studies, and as a teacher of diverse learners. This year, I’ll be teaching 5th grade math and science. I love creating engaging, hands-on lessons that help students feel confident and curious about learning. I live in Chicago with my rescue dog, Ruthie, and in my free time I enjoy exploring the city, finding new coffee shops, and spending time outdoors.

 

¡Hola! Soy la Sra. Slowinske y estoy muy emocionada de unirme a Fuentes para un excelente año escolar. He impartido clases desde 2013, con experiencia en matemáticas, ciencias y estudios sociales de 4.º a 8.º grado, y como profesora de estudiantes diversos. Este año, enseñaré matemáticas y ciencias de 5.º grado. Me encanta crear lecciones prácticas y atractivas que ayuden a los estudiantes a sentirse seguros y curiosos por aprender. Vivo en Chicago con mi perra rescatada, Ruthie, y en mi tiempo libre disfruto explorando la ciudad, descubriendo nuevas cafeterías y pasando tiempo al aire libre.
