About Me
I am the 6th grade ELA/SS teacher at Fuentes. This will be my 8th year teaching. After graduating from Florida State University, I started my teaching career at Acero Charter Schools. I then taught English and Social Studies abroad in international schools in South Korea and Mexico before returning to Acero. I love to read, travel, learn languages, play guitar, play water polo, and of course, teach! I want to help students develop into critical thinkers and cultivate their love for reading so that they have the skills and passion to be life-long learners. I’m very excited to join the Carlos Fuentes family!
Soy la maestra de ELA/SS de sexto grado en Fuentes. Este será mi octavo año enseñando. Después de graduarme de la Universidad Estatal de Florida, comencé mi carrera docente en Acero Charter Schools. Luego enseñé inglés y estudios sociales en el extranjero en escuelas internacionales en Corea del Sur y México antes de regresar a Acero. Me encanta leer, viajar, aprender idiomas, tocar la guitarra, jugar waterpolo y, por supuesto, ¡enseñar! Quiero ayudar a los estudiantes a convertirse en pensadores críticos y cultivar su amor por la lectura para que tengan las habilidades y la pasión para ser aprendices de por vida. ¡Estoy muy emocionado de unirme a la familia Carlos Fuentes!
