About Me

I am so excited to continue in my role as the Academic Interventionist this year at Fuentes! This will be my 17th year teaching and my fourth year at Fuentes. Prior to working here, I was a teacher at the Zizumbo Campus for ten years. I also worked in CPS for the first three years of my career. I have taught 5th grade self contained, 6th grade ELA and Math, and 7th/8th grade Science. I earned my bachelor's degree from Loyola University Chicago and got my ESL endorsement from NIU. I love books of all kinds and I hope to instill that love of reading within my students. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my two sons, Jack and Ben and my two greyhounds. I look forward to working with all of you and your children this year! 

 
¡Estoy muy emocionado de continuar en mi rol de Intervencionista Académico este año en Fuentes! Este será mi decimoséptimo año enseñando y mi cuarto año en Fuentes. Antes de trabajar aquí, fui docente en el Campus de Zizumbo durante diez años. También trabajé en CPS durante los primeros tres años de mi carrera. He sido autodidacta en quinto grado, ELA y matemáticas en sexto grado, y ciencias en séptimo y octavo grado. Obtuve mi licenciatura de la Universidad Loyola de Chicago y obtuve mi respaldo de ESL de NIU. Me encantan los libros de todo tipo y espero inculcar ese amor por la lectura en mis alumnos. Cuando no estoy en la escuela, disfruto pasar tiempo con mi esposo, mis dos hijos, Jack y Ben, y mis dos galgos. ¡Espero trabajar con todos ustedes y sus hijos este año!
