About Me

Hello!  I am Brigid Buffington and I am the Kindergarten teacher at Carlos Fuentes Elementary!  This will be my 7th year at Carlos Fuentes where I have taught both Kindergarten and 2nd grade.  I have my Master's from DePaul University in Early Childhood Education and received my Bachelor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This year in the classroom, I look forward to building a positive community of learners who advocate for themselves and their education.  It is going to be a great year!
 
¡Hola!  ¡Soy Brigid Buffington y soy maestra de jardín de infantes en la primaria Carlos Fuentes!  Este será mi séptimo año en Carlos Fuentes donde he enseñado tanto en jardín de infantes como en segundo grado.  Tengo mi Maestría de la Universidad DePaul en Educación Infantil y recibí mi Licenciatura en Desarrollo Humano y Estudios Familiares de la Universidad de Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Este año en el aula, espero construir una comunidad positiva de estudiantes que defiendan sus derechos y su educación.  ¡Va a ser un gran año!
