About Me
I am the 4th-5th Diverse Learner Teacher. This is my first year at Carlos Fuentes and my 7th year teaching. I am so excited to be a part of this new community. After receiving my BA in Interdisciplinary Communications from Elmhurst College I started as an admissions counselor for Midwestern University. After a few years I decided to pursue my passion for teaching and got a Master of Arts in Teaching from Concordia University. Last year I added on my LBS1 from National Louis University so that I could take my experience into the Diverse Learners classroom. Outside of school I love being with my family which includes my husband, baby, 2 cats, and dog! We love taking walks around our neighborhood and being outdoors. I am so looking forward to this year and I can’t wait to support all the students as they find their own passion for learning!
Estoy la 4º-5º maestra de aprendizaje diverso. Este es mi primer año en Carlos Fuentes y mi séptimo año enseñando. Estoy muy emocionado de ser parte de esta nueva comunidad. Después de recibir mi licenciatura en Comunicaciones Interdisciplinarias de Elmhurst College, comencé como consejero de admisiones para Midwestern University. Después de unos años decidí seguir mi pasión por la enseñanza y obtuve una Maestría en Artes en la Enseñanza de la Universidad de Concordia. El año pasado agregué mi LBS1 de la Universidad Nacional Louis para poder llevar mi experiencia al aula de Estudiantes Diversos. Fuera de la escuela, me encanta estar con mi familia, que incluye a mi esposo, mi bebé, 2 gatos y mi perro. Nos encanta pasear por nuestro vecindario y estar al aire libre. ¡Tengo muchas ganas de que llegue este año y no puedo esperar para apoyar a todos los estudiantes a que encuentren su propia pasión por el aprendizaje!
