I’m thrilled to be teaching 5th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies at Carlos Fuentes! This is my 5th year at Fuentes, 7th year teaching overall. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Iowa and came home to teach in my favorite place in the world, Chicago. After teaching reading for 2 years, I realized my passion is to individualize learning for my students, allowing them to grow and reach their highest potential. My goal is to build a sense of community where my students encourage and support each other to see the joy in learning. The Fuentes community is so amazing and I cannot wait for another GREAT year! Go Eagles!! 

¡Estoy encantada de enseñar artes del lenguaje inglés y estudios sociales de quinto grado en Carlos Fuentes! Este es mi quinto año en Fuentes, séptimo año enseñando en general. Obtuve mi licenciatura en Educación Primaria de la Universidad de Iowa y regresé a casa para enseñar en mi lugar favorito del mundo, Chicago. Después de enseñar lectura durante 2 años, me di cuenta de que mi pasión es individualizar el aprendizaje de mis alumnos, permitiéndoles crecer y alcanzar su máximo potencial. Mi objetivo es crear un sentido de comunidad donde mis alumnos se animen y se apoyen entre sí para ver la alegría de aprender. ¡La comunidad de Fuentes es increíble y no puedo esperar por otro GRAN año! ¡¡Vamos Águilas!!
