I am the Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade Learning Specialist, and this is my first year teaching at Carlos Fuentes! I have a double BA in International Studies and Anthropology from Loyola University Chicago, as well as a MA in International Politics: Globalization, Poverty, and Development from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. I am currently a 2018 Teach for America Corps member and earning a Masters in Teaching in Special Education K-21. I am a native of Chicagoland, and have worked in many neighborhoods and communities to create equitable opportunities. I currently serve as Vice President of the Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity Young Professionals Board, and I am an active Americorps member. My goal is to help students with academic success and personal growth so they can thrive inside and outside of the classroom.
